Katie Peterson is the Educational Developer for Academic Advising, a collaborative role between the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation (CTLI) and the Office of Undergraduate Education at Michigan State University. Through this partnership, she designs and facilitates professional learning experiences that strengthen advising practice across the undergraduate advising community. Her work includes advisor onboarding, workshops, online learning, educational resources, and communities of practice that support continuous learning and professional growth. Katie welcomes opportunities to collaborate on advisor development, educational design, facilitation, learning resources, and innovative approaches to professional learning for academic advisors. 

She holds a Bahelor of Science in Family Community Services from Michigan State University, a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University, and a Master of Arts in Learning Experience Design from Michigan State University.

I was awarded Outstanding New Advisor during the 2019 MSU Academic Advising Recognition and Awards Ceremony.

The MSU Union - I even held my wedding reception in the MSU Union Ballroom!

I am a lifelong learner. I have yoga teacher certification and completed a second master's in Learning Experience Design at MSU. I'm always looking to learn something new!
