University Advising

Office of Undergraduate Education
If you’re an Exploratory Preference (EXP) or Exploring Business Preference (EBP) student, University Advising is your advising office until you reach 56 credits (usually through your first two years). During this time, you’ll work with an advisor who helps you explore majors, choose classes, and stay on track for graduation.
Tip: Meet with your advisor at least once each semester—it’s the best way to make sure you’re on track and talk through any changes or questions.
Once you choose a major, you’ll get advising through the college that houses your major. All incoming students are introduced to their college advisor during New Student Orientation (NSO)—they’re your go-to for planning courses and connecting your major to career opportunities.
Your major is your main area of study. It’s what your degree will say when you graduate.
