What is your favorite spot on campus (and why)?

My favorite spot on campus is the Beal Botanical Garden next to the main library. It is a great place to relax, meditate, and rejuvenate in the presence of so many different kinds of plants within a quiet, peaceful, and serene environment.

What does "Spartans Will" mean to you?

We Spartans have the courage and strength to take on the challenges and responsibilities that are important to us.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

As a first gen, I have studied and worked in four different countries and completed four degrees with a Ph.D. completed at Michigan State University.

Where did you go to college/university?

I went to HuaZhong Agricultural University in China and completed a BS and a MA there. I then went to study at Curtin University of Technology in Australia and completed a second masters. And I then came to Michigan State University and completed my Ph.D. here in the U. S.
