New Spartans are required to participate in “Colloquia with Your College” at MSU. Incoming Exploratory Preference and Exploring Business Preference students are invited to a fun and informative colloquium hosted by University Advising each August.

You will meet other new students in their college, the dean, faculty, academic advisors and upper-class students. This session is an essential way for you to learn about what it takes to be successful at State. You, as a new student, are REQUIRED to participate in this event.

Undergrad Ed College Colloquium will be hosted on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. – noon. Starting in July, we will send event details to your MSU email.
