Meet Our Team

Housed within the Office of Undergraduate Education, our team—Dr. Q and Katie Peterson—is committed to supporting undergraduate academic advisors through comprehensive training and professional growth opportunities. Each year, we are joined by two full-time academic advisors who serve as Advising Fellows. These fellows play a vital role in enhancing professional development efforts and strengthening engagement within the advising community.

From onboarding new advisors to delivering systems training and hosting networking events, we are committed to:

  • Design and implement professional development programs for advising staff.
  • Foster collaboration with other institutional departments and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential career opportunities or advancements.
  • Gain insights into industry trends and best practices.
  • Foster innovation in advising approaches and services.
  • Advocate for the importance and impact of academic advising within the institution.

We’re happy to help—reach out anytime with questions or concerns.
