Attending college is already tough enough, then you have to navigate classes, policies and procedures, while trying to study, work, and attend class. That's a lot for anyone!

I want to help students get what they need in order to get where they're going in a holistic fashion as well as getting to know the individual, not just the student. If I can help promote student success in a seamless fashion, that's what I appreciate the most about advising at MSU.
Spartans have passion and persistence, which equals grit. Spartans are going to work harder than others to be successful. Spartans all over the world have the will to succeed, while representing the best school in a respectful and thoughtful manner.
Transfer student from Lansing Community College to Michigan State, Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Then Michigan State for my Master of Arts in Strategic Communication. GO GREEN!
I was a Chef before I got into academic advising. I encourage everyone to work in the service industry at least once in their life. There's something to be said about someone who can work in a place that's hectic, hot, all over the place, while dealing with rude customers, ALL while thinking of your next move, on your feet (literally). But when it all comes together, it's like a well-oiled machine and everyone's happy. I think you learn a lot about yourself, work ethic, and how to work with others.
