Working with students from various backgrounds and watching them grow personally, academically, and professionally as they complete their degree(s).

It means a lot of different things, but what comes to mind first is resiliency and making an impact on our community- both locally and globally.

I received a Bachelor of Science in history from Manchester University (Indiana) and a master of education in college student affairs and leadership from Grand Valley State University. I also did some work at the University of Hertfordshire in England while I was completing my master's degree.

While I've scaled back in recent years to focus on my family and "real job", I've been a scout / data editor for the FIFA (now EA FC) video game series since 2003. I even appeared as an in-game referee in a few versions of the game!
