Néstor Espinoza

Néstor Espinoza was raised in the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Gabrielino/Tongva people, Los Angeles. He made his way to MSU 6 years ago and has been working here since. Néstor has been advising for much of his professional career and continues to enjoy working with students.
I am a transfer student. I started my college journey at Los Angeles Valley College     before transferring to the University of California, Berkeley. After earning my B.A. in Sociology at UC Berkeley, I earned my M.A. in Higher Education and Organizational Change from the University of California, Los Angeles. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in the Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education here at MSU.
I enjoy being by the river. There's something about flowing water that brings me peace.
While being a student comes with its own sets of responsibilities. I enjoyed the relative freedom I had. College was a time to explore and really get to know myself.
I have two dogs that I adore dearly.
